Gunpowder is a Mumbai-based creative house run by visual communication designers Divya & Manish. Armed with our backgrounds in live-action and animation, our extensive body of work effortlessly traverses styles and treatments to suit the final product.
Divya Gopalan
Founder / Creative Director
A graduate of visual communication design from NID Ahmedabad, Divya has worked as a filmmaker and creative consultant in the fields of promotion, advertising and short-format storytelling in general.
Winner of the prestigious Rocket Award at the Promax World Conference - LA, she has assumed many roles ranging from director, writer, editor, creative director as well as producer. This has enabled her to gain a holistic view of any project and work seamlessly with every department to see it come to fruition.
What excites her is the entire process of brainstorming on an idea and then finding it a home with the right words, treatment and format, as opposed to working on just one isolated piece of the puzzle.
Manish Sehrawat
Partner / Creative Director
Manish Sehrawat has worked across mediums as an illustrator, animator, writer and director. After heading the promotions department in Channel [v] at Star, he has worked on a wide variety of projects from branding, advertising, clothing and accessory design.
A believer in design's ability to solve problems, he enjoys employing design solutions to projects of all scales and sizes, through mediums best suited for the scale and scope of work.
